Our four-strong UK party included two
eighty-year-olds on their first visit to the US. I'm sorry to say we felt
"ripped off" and overcharged.
1. We knew there were new attractions on offer,
but didn't know until we arrived that those new attractions were in a different area for
which an additional charge applied. After the high initial charge, we couldn't
afford the extra.
2. Two major attractions were out of
action. A third broke down while we waited. The remaining attractions filled
only a small part of the day.
3. A rubbery hot dog cost $3.49; a small bottle
of water $2.49. I don't mind a high charge for decent stuff, but this was too much
for too little.
4. An additional charge, which we could not
afford, allowed other visitors to queue jump, making our queuing even longer.
5. Even the car parking charge was an
unbelievable $8 with even more to be paid for privileged parking which I assume helps
avoid the long walk to the attractions.
As far as I can see, Universal offer no e-mail
correspondence. Could this be because they would expect complaints they prefer to
avoid?
