We live in a wooded area and because of health
problems we really need the humidity controlled in our home. We were
assured by Sears that the thermidistat that comes with the Carrier unit is
designed to control humidity.
The first one installed was defective but we did not
know it and didn't understand why our home was damp. Once summer came
and we turned on the A/C we realized the
thermidistat was not operating. Eventually Sears replaced the
thermidistat with another defective one.
We then got water freezing and dripping through our
air conditioning vents and no proper air conditioning throughout the month
of August.
It is now late September and we still are being given
the runaround. I have spoken with everyone, even at
Sears' corporate offices. Everyone promises to do something
but never does.
After spending $14,000 for these systems, our health
problems are increasing and our property is being damaged by humidity.
It looks like legal action will have to be
next.
