I purchased an Apple IBook 14, 1/1.33 Ghz computer from the Apple retail store in Boca Raton, Florida. I was not interested in purchasing a printer at the time but...

They had a promotion for a free Epson Stylus C86 printer with the purchase, so I took the printer.  The catch was that I had to pay $99.99 for the printer and then I had to mail Apple Inc. the shipping label from the computer carton, as well the label from the printer carton.

I did as instructed and mailed the requested documents to the "Print Out. Cash in " promotion address.

Apple mailed me a letter informing me that they were not going to honor my claim #1589664408 because I failed to mail them the shipping UPS label from the Epson printer box, although I did mail them the FedEx label which was on this printer carton.

Unfortunately the label on the carton was FedEx instead of UPS.  I honestly feel that I was set up by the Apple Corporation.  I paid for a printer that I did not really want thinking that the money would be returned.

Now I'm wondering how many people out there fell into the same scam that I did.

I am really interested in knowing just how many of these claims were honored as compared to how many were submitted.

I would like to hear from other victims of this obvious scam.
