A year ago we had new windows installed by Sears.  It was a nightmare!  They did a substandard job... and we have 55 pictures to prove it.

Dear Sir or Madam:

Sears' workers tripped the main breaker 4 times in a 15 minute span, possibly causing our hot tub to stop running.  They cut or buried numerous contacts on our alarm system and used outdoor sealant on the inside of the window which made us very sick for 3- 4 weeks because of the high toxicity level.

We talked to a representative from Sears and he told us to get the alarm system replaced and they would pay for it.  It was at this point we realized the hot tub was frozen and ruined.  The sealant and frames were replaced.

As for the hot tub, our insurance company felt we had a legitimate claim and told us they would replace the hot tub and pursue Sears for the money.

About this time the case was handed over to a Sears employee.  Well, to make a long story short Sears has refused to take any responsibility for the alarm system or the hot tub.  The balance owing on the windows is $5,000.00, which is on our Sears account.

To add insult to injury we are being harassed by Sears’ credit department to pay the remainder of the balance.

We are not ready to close this case and pay for damages caused by Sears, but what can we do?  What recourse should we take if any?

Thank you,
