The service at my local Lowes Home Improvement is not acceptable.

Saturday evening I took a screw out of a hinge and took it to Lowes here in Valdosta, Georgia.  I needed some more like that one.

I saw two salesclerks conversing and I asked one of them, showed him the screw and asked where I could find more like it.  He pointed to the next aisle and told me over there.  The complete hinges were there, but I didn't need the complete set.  I looked and looked but couldn't find them.

I could not find anyone else to help me since all the sales clerks were standing around talking with each other.  Finally, I walked over to one of them and told him that when the store first opened sales people would almost run over you to help you and now you couldn't find anyone that would.  He helped me find the screws.

I hate to see the Lowes close but Home Depot has three times as many cars on their lots as does the Lowes.  Maybe sales people that cared about the customer would help prevent that.  Also once there, I wanted to purchase wallpaper. I took in my measurements and no one in the wallpaper section knew how to figure out how much wallpaper I needed.  I went to Home Depot.  Just thought you would like to know.  Thanks.
