We contacted the repair department for service on a Kenmore
dishwasher under warranty and were given a date of repair and time between the hours of
1-5 pm ET.
When the service technician had not arrived by 4:50 pm ET, I
contacted the repair center and was told that we were next on the list.
I contacted the center again at 6:30 and was told the
technician was on his way. At 7:40 I contacted the center once again and explained
to the operator that I had been waiting since 1 pm and didn't even receive a courtesy call
that the technician would be delayed. When I had contacted the service department
the two previous times there was not even an apology for the delay.
I asked this operator if I could speak with someone in
Customer Service. The operator indicated that the department was closed and when I
asked for the telephone number in order to contact them the next day, she told me she had
no idea what their telephone number was and that I should call back tomorrow.
It is obvious to me that once a sale is made, Sears has
absolutely no interest in customer care. Therefore, I will never buy another product
from Sears!
