Customer service at Walmart...
I was in the store this morning to purchase some ammunition. I went to
sporting goods and stood at the counter.
Employees
walked by me three times. Finally someone stopped and asked if I needed help
I said I did, so he
called someone on the intercom to "come to sporting goods to help a customer
who has been waiting"...no one came.
Fifteen minutes
later I was sick of waiting and left.
As I was walking out two gentlemen who
appeared to be managers came out of another room. I approached them to
express my frustrations and related the above story to them. The one
gentleman shrugged and said, "sorry, that happens".
Seriously? Is Walmart such a large company
that they don't really need the $300 I spent today?
I understand that losing my business isn't
going to hurt Walmart, but I work in the hospitality business. That is not
customer service. If I treated people like that in my restaurant I wouldn't
have any customers.
Walmart used to have really good customer
service. What happened?
