I contacted Best Buy's service
department to get a broken control knob replaced. I was told that knobs were not
covered by the service contract even though the machine was less than a year old.
I then contacted Whirlpool about this problem and they
informed me that the knob was covered by the warranty and promptly shipped a
replacement. After receiving the part I tried to get a refund on the service
contract and was told that it would be pro-rated even though Best Buy would not cover a
warranty part.
On calling their customer relations I could not even get their
corporate address to mail a complaint.
On asking for the address their representative
refused to give the address to me and hung up on me.
