With AT&T, I've been cut off of the
internet several times daily for the past several months, taking more
than I should have. Every time I called AT&T I got a someone in India I
could not understand, and inevitably was disconnected. The problem never
got resolved.
It's hard to switch to another
company cause if you can't get the same numbers and addresses and you
have them in ads and business cards, you don't want to redo all of them.
However, I put up with it long enough.
This week I switched to Insight
Cable for a bundle deal. A gentleman actually came to my house,
installed it all and made sure it was working before he left. I say
gentleman because this man was a true gentleman.
He discovered there was bad phone
wiring in the house, and even though he missed his son's play in school,
he stayed until it was all resolved. Plus, he was highly respectful of
me at all times and had a wonderful work ethic. That is the kind of
service all companies should have.
I'm 58 years old and remember when
all companies were concerned with quality, workmanship and concern for
the consumer. It seems that money is more important than the person now.
So, I'm trusting Insight to be the company I stay with for years to
come.
Oh, by the way, I had been with Bell
South since I left home and got the first phone under my name. When they
switched over to AT&T, it all started to change. I think money is more
important than people. They have lost the connection, which is ironic
since connecting is what they do.
